Excellent
This scanner produces good results, quickly, and has a large paper capacity. I can get through a 100 page document in a few minutes. But my favorite thing about it is that it works out of the box with Linux. I plugged it in to power, used the touchscreen to connect to wifi, did a firmware update, and the default scanner app in Linux Mint picked it up immediately.

After a bad experience with another brand that relied on pretty bad and buggy software and needed a USB connection to a Windows computer to set up, and had no Linux compatibility, this one was a much better experience.

 I'm a mobile Notary
I've been working as a mobile Notary doing loan signings for the last 9 months. Almost all of these need to be scanned and sent back to the title company within a couple of hours of the signing before shipping the hard copies back via FedEx or UPS. I tested my Canon all-in-one by scanning a 46 page signing (had to do it in 2 batches because the feed on the Canon is only 25 pages). It took 14 minutes. I scanned the exact same document with this scanner and it took slightly more than 1 minute. Man, what a time-saver!!! I also use it in my truck with a 150 watt inverter and it works perfectly, so I can now scan docs on the road, which is really a game changer for me. I absolutely LOVE this scanner!!! I can scan a document with mixed page sizes (which I CAN'T do with the Canon) without any problems at all.

Had one for years - finally failed and was replaced without question by Asuron program.
This is an excellent document scanner. I had one for years that finally failed. I recommend purchasing the Asuron protection program through Amazon. The failed unit was replaced without charge or complications when submitted to Asuron. I recommend turning the scanner off when not used as leaving it in standby mode may have contributed to failure - just a guess.

way better than most all in one scanner/copy/printer
1…scans double sided
2. … easy to reorder and collate pages
3. … works on network for pc and mac silicon
4…software works well
5….best for documents not archiving photos/slides
6…. much better than adf for almost all in one combos
7…fast

This was a great purchase at competitive pricing and quick delivery by a responsive Amazon seller!
This Epson Workforce ES-580W Wireless Color Duplex Desktop Document Scanner is one of my favorite electronic devices and worked flawlessly in completing my project of scanning and archiving more than 10,000 pictures in a short span of time. Batch scanning in color at 600dpi to preserve as much image data goes like a breeze. I also scanned at 300 dpi a lot of color and monocrhome letter and legal size documents at very respectable speeds, and all scanned images were of high quality with very little artifacts if any. Highly recommended!

I Learned; Difficult for Me to Get Going!
Once this little baby was set up and I learned how to use it. . . .it is marvelous! It meets all my scanning needs and desires. I wanted the scanner hooked to my computer. The ES-580W set up/connected very quickly and easy. But I did not know it! The scanning starts from the computer not the scanner. I called Customer Service, they were very fast to respond and extremely helpful and patient. I confused the touch screen with the computer screen, basically doing the "right moves" but backwards. As with most guides, it was online and hard for me to follow even with the quick links. Thanks to Epson support I am a very fast learned and still exploring features. Truly appreciate the fact that I can name and place the new file after scanning. Overall I have had a very quick learning experience. If you are a previous scan user, no biggie!
