great scanner
Ordered this scanner to copy my OLD photos....grandparents and greatgrand...so I could have a copy for my kids, grands and cousins. Also the majority of Mother's old photos were destroyed in a flood from a hurricane. Since I had glued my photos in albums I couldn't put them on the printer scanner. Looked for one that would work on my MAC and this one was highly recommended. When testing how it would work, I found you have to go at an even speed and hold the scan wand level. Other than that it makes very clear scans and I love it.
Perfect and just what I needed
I love this portable scanner! I got it after my frustration at work with the printer scanner copier and was not expecting anything great, was pleasantly surprised with this product, but its so easy to use. I opened it at home and started to look at it and test it before I took it to work, so I could be familiarized with it!
Big plus's for me:
No software needed: which is good so I don't have to bother out it department.
Small and portable!
Easy to use!
Only con I have is each page you scan is a separate file, so I have to merge them cause they are supposed to be one document!
Better than expected, great for work, or for college.
I have using it to copy drawings and technical manuals at work. It is faster than printer scanner I have at home. The only negative I can say is when I don't move the scanner straight across the document. Or if I go too fast for it. It can scan with out a computer. And I can dump the scans with the supplied cable into my computer. For the incredible price, it does a good job of scanning things that are bound like a book. This has really turned into something that I am really happy I bought. I wish I had it in college. It would have made doing research easier, and cheaper than paying to use the copy machine.
Great Library accessory
I use this scanner to scan pages of books at the library and especially in the Archives section in which I cannot remove the books. Connected easily to my laptop and transferred JPGs. It took a little practice to get the technique down. Once you move the scanner you must keep it moving. Good Luck.
GREAT PRODUCT - I use it all the time in my Notary business
Needing to make copies of documents frequently, I used to use my phone camera, then had to print them out, which took a lot of toner. NOW, I simply scan the document or the signers ID, as a pdf file, and simply down load it when I scan documents back. It work like a charm. VERY easy to use, and VERY HIGH QUALITY file produced.
